We're Bug-Eyed

Beacon Hill's got a new boutique: Buggy. From the can't-miss-it bright white and red exterior to the hardwood floors and open space, Buggy is the freshest spot for gently-used baby and toddler clothes (sizes 0-6), and new clothes, toys, and accessories. The shop opened just last Saturday after lots of planning by local mom owners Heather Hollenbeck and Sarah Dublin. Their plan? Offer quality items at affordable prices in a stylish, un-cluttered spot. They support local craftspeople, selling crib and stroller blankets by Rebecca's, a local designer who hand stitches all of her wares, and embroidered blankets and Ugly-Doll-style plush (But cuter and softer) from local artist Louise Wackerman. We love shoes from Livie & Luca, onesies from Nest and eight3one, and "Flower Children Handknits," hand-knit sweaters that have been rescued and refreshed (many are embellished or have wonderful new buttons). The gently-used items fit right in with their new counterparts - find great deals on every hanger. Don't miss the onesie bucket, where everything is priced from $3.00 to $10.00. Buggy is ultra family-friendly, with a play area complete with a couch, toys, and lots of books to keep Little One busy. Need a last-minute Halloween costume? We spotted a bumblebee suit, a ladybug outfit, and other delights.

Buggy pays 30% of the value of your kids' outgrown clothes in cash, or 40% in store credit. If you've got goods, stop by anytime with ten or fewer items, or make an appointment for larger sales.
